About MEITM
Minnesota Emu Inc. and Our Goals
Minnesota
Emu Incorporated (MEI) products are
first and foremost based upon quality. Quality
is not just in the manufacturing and packaging; it begins before the
egg is formed. All Emu purchased by MEI are raised, fed and maintained
in a consistent manner. Premium feeds devoid of animal by-products are
carefully selected to provide all nutritional requirements for the
growth, development and reproduction of the birds. All birds are
provided
humane conditions and never overcrowded. We do not use
birds from feedlots and do not support the use of feedlots!
All
of our birds are Hormone Free, Steroid Free, Anti-biotic and Abuse Free. They
are processed only in fully inspected plants and nearly nothing goes to
waste. We are always present at the processing of our birds and
products to ensure our quality standards are maintained. We DO NOT slaughter birds on the farm,
and all birds are processed and further processed under USDA and State
inspection. We use virtually everything produced by these remarkable
creatures.
Quality controls are in place and checked every step of
the way.
You
see,
our emphasis on quality is
important to us because every day of our lives we use the same products
we offer to you.
Quality
continues throughout the formulation and manufacturing processes.
Chemists acknowledge that not all ingredients are the same even though
they bear the same names. We use only the finest and most natural
version of each ingredient in our products. We will not
shortcut the efficacy of our products to attain a low consumer price
level. You deserve to get the best product value for your dollar.
Epitomizing
our quality emphasis is product performance. If a product does not
perform for you, it has no value at all. Each product starts its life
being marketed from referrals--in other words from the favorable
comments of one person to another--you might simply call it "word
of mouth" promotion. If a product does not engender the positive
support of its early users, it is not worthy to be a part of our
product offerings.
All
of our products are based upon the Emu, a large flightless bird native
to Australia.
Native
Australians have relied upon the Emu for food, clothing, tools and
medicinal healing for thousands of years. Its red
meat
is low in cholesterol and fat, and rich in protein and
iron, but contains fewer calories than beef. The feathers have
fashion and artistic value. The hides
and leggings excite the imaginations
of fashion and boot manufacturers. The oil from
properly fed birds and properly refined fat provides healing aids and
restorative qualities just being discovered by modern medical science.
Emu Oil and Conventional Medicine
Minnesota
Emu Inc. supports the scientific quest for the discovery of causes of
ailments. We advocate going beyond mere symptom treatments to discover the
causes of a malady and then to initiate aggressive treatment. Our
products are manufactured to assist in that goal. Our pain relief
products work to reduce inflammation so that not only pain is reduced but so that more effective treatment can be provided.
We believe that pain is a signal of a problem that should not be
ignored. We advocate working hand-in-hand with health care
professionals to reduce your discomfort. By no means should Emu Oil
therapy be self-prescribed to serious problems without the supervision
of a trained health care professional.
Emu
Oil and modern health care are not mutually exclusive. They work
together to benefit you.
A Background:
The
early introduction of the Emu into the USA was taken over by
"fast buck" and speculative promoters. Within a short time,
the promises made in the high priced artificial "breeders"
market had extracted the life savings from thousands of would be
growers. Few entrepreneurs realized the reproductively, growth, feed
cost, land use and husbandry realities of this relatively unique avian
which comes from arid Australia, but is climate tolerant throughout the
USA, and much of the world. Few raised birds using the best information
that current science could provide and fewer yet ran studies to fill in
the information gaps. Much of this work is on going.
Ranches
supplying livestock to us have participated in disease and genetics
studies being performed by several prominent mid-western universities.
You
see, we are committed to improving your lifestyle and quality of
life.
That
is our purpose!
That
is our goal!
That is our promise to you!
